The Billion Dollar Quest

exploring my creative potential…while trying to save the world

Billionaire Assets

If you’ve just come across this web site, you may be wondering how on earth I plan to make $1 billion. This is such an improbable feat that there is little I can say here to convince you that I can do it. But just for fun perhaps, here is a list of some of my personality traits that may suggest there is a billionaire somehere inside of me. Each of these is a trait famously shared by one or more extremely famous businessman/artists.

eccentricity – by most measures, I am an unusual person.  Although I will probably seem normal enough when first meeting me, i have a largely different view of life than most people and that lends to some strange beliefs and behaviors.

disdain for school – although quite smart, I never put any effort into school and consequently never did particularly well.  I would have dropped out of college if my parents had been at all supportive.  For me, the traditional schooling environment is slow, boring and ineffective.

bridge – my favorite card game, which I’ve played since a little kid, is bridge (re: Bill Gates & Warren Buffet)

I believe that I can – I have every confidence that I can make this happen.  Although I am aware that it will be difficult and often seem impossible, I have little doubt that I will find a way.  I am quite sure that my creative abilities are something special.

family history – while my genes may have wired me with a lesser body, they may have also coded me for success.  a look back through my ancestry reveals numerous examples of wealth and achievement.

vision – one thing I have for sure is vision.  I see many things that do not exist.  Many, many things.  The big question is, will the people like the world I have envisioned for them?

fierce determination to succeed – “if I had a penny for every time” someone has doubted me… well I’d be well on may way to making that billion dollars.  The truth is, I completely ignore people who express their doubt.  Although I am open to constructive criticism and suggestions for improvement, I shrug off all cynicism, pessimism and doubt.  Whether or not I can do it or not remains to be seen, but you can be damn sure that I am going to try, and keep on trying even in the face of repeated failure.  More than anything else, this fierce determination may be my ticket to success.

intelligence – creativity aside, I am still a pretty smart guy;  by most conventional measures of intelligence (IQ tests and standardized tests), I am among the top echelon of society
