into the facebook I go
two days ago marked the beginning of something new and exciting for my billion dollar quest. I have too long been stuck with notion that building a unique website would be enough to attract people and generate signficant income. what I have and what I have done thus far is certainly not enough to make billions, it definitely should be making more than $1000/mo. I have so much content and there are so many people playing games out there, I should be making a considerably more money than I am thus far. I need more people to be playing my games. I need millions, not thousands.
Enter facebook. Starting this week and continuing for the forseable future I will concentrate the majority of my efforts of porting my material onto facebook and promoting it there. I am starting with BrainBall, which is well on its way already, then doing the Tying Test & WordBall as I get the three of them back online and integrated with playwithyourmind.com and facebook. Then I will add a few standalone games to the offerings before making the Luck Game / BQQ advergame and ripples (an unfinished program from a couple years ago, made for social networking). Anyway, I am trying to temper my expectations, but with the networked nature of facebook and the cool tools they provide for sharing info with your friends, I think a multiple-fold increase in my game plays (and therefore advertising opportunities). One of the most popular games on facebook is called “who’s got the biggest brain?” and had nearly 5 million people playing it per month. That’s for one game.
So I am excited. This represents a shift of focus from developing content, to selling content. time to make some money of of this.
